Poetry : The Eagle of solace
Something I tried writing since today is International Poetry day.....
Nature bleeds the machete of inactivity with silence
Until treachery as a silent epiphany coerces violence
All those impoverished, hegemonized bear propinquity with abuse.
The righteous office bearers ostracised to recluse.
Justice is augean, trust and faith rare
To receive the emancipate should social diaspora care ?
If the opulent have agita, the powerful have fear
What about the sole bread earner who has no vizier ?
At times of destitute, history is testimony
The power of poetry louder than cacophony, not an epiphany
As pride in celebration and blarney in crusades.
It has no barriers, be it castles, attics or towers, it’s power permeates.
At the heart of holy verses, the prophet's sermons does it reside.
As a hope giver, faith preacher in eyes of all perilous adversity besides,
Be it war, qualms, exaltation or bereavement,
Like a messiah, resplendent joy and solace it makes into an enchantment...
