The eternal flame of hope
As this year draws to a close, here is to reminding mankind that no matter how abstruse this pandemic was, there was a flame of hope and benevolence that kept us alive , reignited our quest towards brighter days.. When life was too rapid and perspicuous, The world was suddenly swept; making space-time rankle and ambiguous All activity pellucid with uncertain caveats And bleakness surmounting with little resources for combats Those chirpy, blithe and boisterous kids, excited for frolic at school Were left reticent, to the four walls of their room to drool Those impoverished and agonized labourers who toil from place to place Were forced to retreat into poverty ; enervating with unemployment in race Beautiful cities that were seraphic for ethereal sunsets Turned into penchant states to house the ailing, bury the dead; a melancholic offset Panoptic footpaths and gardens, home to bonsais and roses Were left uncouth, unkempt like ruptured watering hoses Yet humanity was always too kind...
